BIO:
Dr. Michelle is a board certified pediatric dentist and diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A native Texan, Dr. Michelle was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated at the top of her dental school class at the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and was recognized with several awards, including induction into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Two years later, Dr. Michelle completed her pediatric specialty training at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in the world renowned Texas Medical Center, earning both her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science degree. During her residency training, Dr. Michelle served as Chief Resident. She is highly trained and experienced in providing dental care to children under conscious sedation, and holds a New York State Conscious Sedation Certificate.
Dr. Michelle is known for her patience and nurturing approach in establishing a personal rapport with even the most fearful dental patient. She believes that building confidence in children at the dental office is key in motivating them to achieve goals in other areas of their lives as they grow to become healthy, happy, and successful adults.
Dr. Michelle has been practicing in New York City for the last decade, and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. When she is not busy fighting cavities, you can find Dr. Michelle surfing, skiing, staying fit, and spending time with her friends and family.
